Julie Dotson

connect coordinator

As the CONNECT Coordinator for our church family, I have been praying about how we can stay connected while our church services, study groups and activities have been temporarily discontinued. There is a heightened anxiety and fear being expressed by our friends and loved ones. In the midst of this uncertainty how can we be the church? What is God asking of us in the coming weeks? If "we are the church" how can we help to bring peace and calm to others in our church and our community?

My answer came in an email! Max Lucado is offering a FREE online study opportunity, Anxious for Nothing", to help remind us how to find the peace that "transcends all understanding" and learn new ways to reframe our fears.

"Friends, If you need some peace in your life right now, you are in the right place. For the next few weeks, we are going to walk together through the Anxious for Nothing study by Max Lucado, a study of Philippians 4:4-8, one of the most underlined verses in the Bible. These are uncertain times, but this much is sure: with God as our Guide, we will get through this together." -Max Lucado

This study can be used in whatever way serves you best. You can watch all the sessions at once or weekly beginning March 22nd. This can also be used with your small group. This is a wonderful opportunity to stay connected, grow in our faith and share spiritual tools to help others.

Blessings,

Julie Dotson
